Basic Requirements:
- Draw a scene in 1, 2, or 3 point perspective
- Base this final drawing off of your earlier sketches
- Add color to your scene using chalk pastels
- Drawing is detailed with many objects or decorations in your scene
- Drawing shows detail with a variety of color added
- Color is layered and shading was added to show light and dark elements
- No rips, crinkles, smudges or other unwanted marks
- Pastels are drawn cleanly and layered to create an interesting drawing
- Point Perspective looks to be drawn neatly with a ruler, guide lines and vanishing point erased
- Worked well throughout project without need of redirection
- Did not have any discipline issues while working on the project
- Made daily progress on the project by using class time wisely and working efficiently

Basic Requirements:
- Fill at least a page in your sketchbook with idea sketches in 1, 2, or 3 point perspective for the bigger drawing project
- These drawings must be either of the scene you plan on making or parts of the scene
- Drawings must be your own ideas and not copies of someone else’s work
- Have a variety of drawings that show many different ideas, not just one
Some ideas for scenes could be:
- A cityscape
- A room or hallway (not a boring one)
- A building
- An abstract setting (think M.C. Escher)

Basic Requirements
- Create a ceramic cup using drape building techniques
- Use slip and scoring to attach a handle or design
- The maximum diameter for your mug is 4 inches with a minimum of 2 1/2
- The maximum height for your mug is 6 inches with a minimum of 4
Craftsmanship
- The mug is well built showing skill with the art tools used
- Art lacks unwanted rough splotches of clay, cracks, unevenness, or other similar deficiencies
- The mug is clearly finished
Creativity
- An original design was added to the mug: Carved and/or attached
- This design is more than carving in a word or adding a simple print
- Your design shows evidence of some form of thought or plan
Effort
- Used class time wisely: Working the whole time without needing redirection
- Used tools as intended and had not discipline issues
- Project was challenging and not the "easy, minimal solution"
